Johanna wants to change her life and quit the criminal gangs of the town of Oss in the 30ties of the 20th century. The harder she tries, the more she is involved.
Actiunea filmului se desfasoara in Olanda, in oraselul Oss, in anul 1939, inainte de invazia nazista. Aici, aproape intreaga comunitate este corupta, dar, Johanna van Heesch incearca sa-si schimbe viata si sa iasa din bandele criminale.
